RAMS Documents Large Group / Schools Package
Risk Analysis and Management Systems Reports
(RAMS)

A full set of RAMS documents have been
compiled to meet statutory requirements and assist
large groups/schools in planning their visit to
THSS.
These reports have been developed with the
assistance of Registered Teachers with a professional
and knowledgeable understanding of RAMS as a planning,
implementation and evaluation tool for SAFE management
of outdoor activities. They give clear identification
of potential risks and the assessment of needs, skills
and competencies for those who will be involved, with
the added assurance that contingency planning for
emergencies has been undertaken. The key areas of
PEOPLE, EQUIPMENT and ENVIRONMENT have been taken into
consideration to ensure that nothing important has been
missed.
IMPORTANT: You need to add your
own:
- Student / Staff Ratios
- School Policies and Guidelines recommended
- Skills required by Staff ( It is expected that at
least one of your staff members hold a current First
Aid Certificate and staff have firm control of their
groups. SUPERVISORS mentioned in the RAMS Reports
refers to your own group supervisors, NOT Pool
Staff)
- Extra requirements as you see fit.
- The Final decision is made by your own School /
Group Principal, BOT, Chairperson or other.
The RAMS Reports are available to groups on
request.
